Soils:
Most of the soils are Borolls. They are deep and loamy and silty and have a frigid temperature regime and mixed mineralogy. The nearly level to rolling Haploborolls (Aastad, Barnes, Buse, Kranzburg, and Svea series) and Argiborolls (Forman and Peever series) are on till uplands. Poorly drained Argiaquolls (Parnell series) and Haplaquolls (Quam series) are in upland depressions.
