Soils:
Most of the soils are Udolls, Udalfs, and Aquolls. They are deep and medium textured and moderately fine textured and have a mesic temperature regime and mixed mineralogy. Moderately well drained and well drained, gently sloping Hapludolls (Kenyon and Ostrander series), Argiudolls (Dinsdale series), and Hapludalfs (Racine and Renova series) are on uplands. Somewhat poorly drained, nearly level or gently sloping Hapludolls (Floyd and Klinger series) and poorly drained, nearly level or gently sloping Haplaquolls (Clyde series) are in concave areas on the uplands. Well drained Hapludolls (Waukegan series) and poorly drained Haplaquolls (Marshan series) are on stream terraces. Moderately well drained Hapludolls (Spillville series) and Haplaquolls (Coland series) are on bottom lands.
