Potential Natural Vegetation:
This area supports natural prairie vegetation characterized by western wheatgrass, needleandthread, green needlegrass, and blue grama. Little bluestem is an important species on sloping and thin soils. Prairie cordgrass, northern reedgrass, and slim sedge are important species on wet soils. Western snowberry, stiff goldenrod, echinacea, and prairie rose are commonly interspersed throughout the area.
