Potential Natural Vegetation:
This area supports grassland vegetation. Rhizomatous wheatgrasses, green needlegrass, needleandthread, blue grama, and threadleaf sedge are dominant species on deep soils. Bluebunch wheatgrass and little bluestem are major species on shallow soils on hills and ridges. Basin wildrye, green needlegrass, rhizomatous wheatgrasses, and shrubs are dominant along bottom land and streams. Big sagebrush is the dominant shrub.
