MLRA 58D - Northern Rolling High Plains, Eastern Part

Elevation and Topography:
Elevation ranges from 700 to 1,000 m, increasing gradually from east to west. These dissected plains are underlain by shale and sandstone. Slopes are mostly gently rolling to steep. Local relief is mainly between 25 and 100 m. In places flat-topped, steep-sided buttes rise sharply above the general level of the plain.
