| Pennsylvania Soil Climate Atlas
The landscapes of Pennsylvania reflect a complex history of geomorphic and climatic events, which also have affected soil and ecosystem development significantly. The interaction of soil, climate, and landscape produces considerable natural resource diversity.
| Penn State Agricultural Experiment Station Bulletin 873 summarizes the soil climatology of Pennsylvania and provides spatial estimates of the Commonwealth's soil moisture and temperature regimes. Agro-climatic regions are defined over relatively homogeneous areas of soil, climate, and landscapes that affect the agronomic crop production.
