Potential Natural Vegetation:
This area supports natural prairie vegetation characterized by little bluestem, indiangrass, and switchgrass. Little bluestem, indiangrass, and needlegrass grow on sandy, droughty soils. Little bluestem, sideoats grama, blue grama, and scattered trees and shrubs of bur oak, juniper, and sumac grow on very shallow soils.
