Potential Natural Vegetation:
This area supports natural prairie vegetation characterized by western wheatgrass, green needlegrass, needleandthread, and porcupinegrass. Big bluestem is an important species on soils with restricted drainage. Prairie cordgrass, northern reedgrass, and western wheatgrass are dominant on the poorly drained and very poorly drained soils.
