Potential Natural Vegetation:
This area supports grassland vegetation. Western wheatgrass, bluebunch wheatgrass, green needlegrass, and needleandthread are dominant species. In the eastern part of the area, little bluestem replaces bluebunch wheatgrass as the dominant species.
