Potential Natural Vegetation:
This area supports natural prairie vegetation. Western wheatgrass, blue grama, needleandthread, and green needlegrass are dominant species. Prairie sandreed and little bluestem are important species on the very shallow soils. Buffaloberry, chokecherry, and prairie rose are common in draws and narrow valleys.
