Potential Natural Vegetation:
This area supports mixed prairie vegetation. Western wheatgrass, green needlegrass, and blue grama are the major species. Little bluestem and sideoats grama are dominant on the shallow soils. Buffaloberry, skunkbush sumac, and prairie rose are common on steep slopes along the major streams.
